About Our Research
Welcome to our Stop The Bleed research Website!
We are a group of Communication Seniors at Wayne State University. As part of our Capstone Senior Project we have been tasked to research the Stop The Bleed program, and the benefits, and possible challenges it may have. Stop The Bleed is a world wide program founded by The American College of Surgeons (ACS) to teach communities how to act in a situation where someone has a massive bleed. There have been over 1 million courses taught world wide, including the teaching of public officials, the common public, students, teachers, and even medical professionals. The overall goal is to teach the public how to stop a bleed, using a tourniquet, and result in saving lives.
